इति संवदतोरेवमन्योन्यं नरसिंहयो: ।
आगम्य प्राञ्जलि: काले गुहो भरतमब्रवीत् ।

iti saṃvadatorevamanyonyaṃ narasiṃhayoḥ |
āgamya prāñjaliḥ kāle guho bharatamabravīt ॥2-89-4॥
Translation
While those two lions among men were thus conversing with each other, Guha arrived at that moment and, with joined palms, spoke to Bharata.

इस प्रकार उन दोनों नरश्रेष्ठों (भरत और शत्रुघ्न) के आपस में बात करते समय ही, गुह ने वहां आकर और हाथ जोड़कर भरत से कहा।
English Commentary
The usage of the epithet narasimhayoh (lions among men) for Bharata and Shatrughna preserves their heroic stature even in their moment of vulnerability. The word kale (at the right time) suggests Guha’s attentiveness as a host; he was likely waiting for the princes to stir before approaching. Guha’s gesture of pranjali (folded hands) signifies deep respect. Despite being a sovereign king of the Nishadas, his interaction with the princes of Ayodhya is marked by humility and service, adhering to the protocols of interacting with imperial royalty.
