भित्त्वेव वसुधां भाति चित्रकूट: समुत्थित: ।
चित्रकूटस्य कूटो ऽसौ दृश्यते सर्वत: शुभ: ॥ ॥२-९४-२३॥
Bhittveva vasudhāṃ bhāti citrakūṭaḥ samutthitaḥ । Citrakūṭasya kūṭo 'sau dṛśyate sarvataḥ śubhaḥ ॥ ॥2-94-23॥
Translation
Chitrakuta shines as if it has burst through the earth and risen upwards. This peak of Chitrakuta appears auspicious from every side.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यह चित्रकूट पर्वत ऐसा प्रतीत होता है मानो वसुधा (पृथ्वी) को फाड़कर ऊपर उठा हो। चित्रकूट का यह सर्वोच्च शिखर सब ओर से कल्याणकारी और मंगलमय दिखाई देता है।
English Commentary
The imagery here is dynamic; the mountain is described not as a static object resting on the earth, but as an active force that has 'burst through' (bhittvā) the ground. This conveys the sheer steepness and imposing nature of the peak. Despite this violent imagery of emergence, the result is śubhaḥ—auspicious and beautiful from all angles. Rama perceives the mountain as a benevolent presence, a rising monument of nature that brings good fortune and visual delight to anyone who gazes upon it.

कवि यहाँ चित्रकूट की भव्यता और उसकी ऊर्ध्व गति का वर्णन करते हैं। 'भित्त्वेव वसुधां' (मानो पृथ्वी को भेदकर) वाक्यांश पर्वत की आकस्मिक और तीव्र ढलान या ऊँचाई को दर्शाता है। यह पर्वत केवल पत्थर का ढेर नहीं है, बल्कि पृथ्वी के गर्भ से निकला हुआ एक 'शुभ' (कल्याणकारी) स्वरूप है। राम इस शिखर को 'सर्वत: शुभ:' कहते हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि चाहे किसी भी दिशा से देखा जाए, यह पर्वत मन को शांति और आनंद ही प्रदान करता है। यह पवित्रता और प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य का अद्भुत संगम है।
