उपयाति समृद्धार्थः सह मित्रैर्महाबलैः ।
एतच्छ्रुत्वा यमाकारं भजते भरतस्तदा ॥६-१२८-१२॥
upayāti samṛddhārthaḥ saha mitrairmahābalaiḥ |
etacchrutvā yamākāraṃ bhajate bharatastadā ॥6-128-12॥
Translation
...is approaching, his purpose fulfilled, with his mighty friends. Having heard this, observe the expression (attitude) that Bharata assumes at that time.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...अपने महाबली मित्रों के साथ सफल मनोरथ होकर आ रहे हैं। यह सुनकर उस समय भरत जिस भी भाव (आकार) को धारण करते हैं (उसे देखना)।
English Commentary
This is the turning point of the instructions. The mission is investigative. Shri Rama asks Hanuman to scrutinize Bharata's reaction ('akaram' - form/expression) upon hearing the news. Does he show unbridled joy, or is there a shadow of hesitation? Shri Rama needs to know if Bharata has become attached to the throne.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के मिशन का मूल उद्देश्य स्पष्ट करता है। श्री राम केवल सूचना नहीं दे रहे, वे परीक्षा ले रहे हैं। 'यमाकारं भजते'—भरत के चेहरे के भाव, उनकी शारीरिक प्रतिक्रिया और उनके मनोभावों को पढ़ने का निर्देश हनुमान जी को दिया गया है। क्या श्री राम के लौटने की खबर से भरत के चेहरे पर खुशी आती है या चिंता? यह जानना श्री राम के लिए आवश्यक है।
