स च ते वेदितव्यः स्यात् सर्वं यच्चापि मां प्रति ।
ज्ञेयाश्च सर्वे वृत्तान्ता भरतस्येङ्गीतानि च ॥६-१२८-१३॥
sa ca te veditavyaḥ syāt sarvaṃ yaccāpi māṃ prati |
jñeyāśca sarve vṛttāntā bharatasyeṅgītāनि ca ॥6-128-13॥
Translation
You must ascertain all that. You should know his attitude towards me, and all the incidents related to Bharata and his gestures.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह सब तुम्हें जानना चाहिए। मेरे प्रति उनके जो भी भाव हों और भरत के सभी वृत्तांत तथा इंगित (इशारे/चेष्टाएं) भी जानने योग्य हैं।
English Commentary
Shri Rama instructs Hanuman to observe 'ingitani' (gestures/hints). This implies reading between the lines and observing body language. Shri Rama wants a comprehensive report ('sarve vrittanta') on Bharata's conduct during the exile and his current feelings towards Shri Rama. This is the pragmatism of a king ensuring a smooth transition of power.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम हनुमान जी को सूक्ष्म निरीक्षण के लिए कहते हैं। 'इंगितानि' (चेष्टाएं/इशारे) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है। कभी-कभी वाणी झूठ बोल सकती है, लेकिन अनैच्छिक शारीरिक चेष्टाएं सत्य बता देती हैं। श्री राम जानना चाहते हैं कि क्या 14 वर्षों के शासन ने भरत के मन में सत्ता का लोभ जगा दिया है। यह शंका नहीं, अपितु राजधर्म की सावधानी है।
