अहश्चतुर्थभागेन निःशेषा राक्षसाः कृताः ।
महाबला महावीर्यास्तपसो विघ्नकारिणः ॥६-१२९-१९॥
ahaścaturthabhāgena niḥśeṣā rākṣasāḥ kṛtāḥ |
mahābalā mahāvīryāstapaso vighnakāriṇaḥ ॥6-129-19॥
Translation
"Within a quarter of the day, those mighty and valorous Rakshasas, who created obstacles in penance, were completely annihilated."
हिंदी अनुवाद
'दिन के चौथे भाग (कुछ ही घंटों) में वे महाबली, महावीर्यवान और तपस्या में विघ्न डालने वाले राक्षस निःशेष (समाप्त) कर दिए गए।'
English Commentary
The speed of the slaughter is emphasized—a few hours to wipe out an army. It highlights Shri Rama's efficiency as a warrior protecting the ascetics.
