Srimad Valmiki Ramayana - Yuddha Kanda - Sarga 129

ददृशुर्विस्मितास्तत्र रावणं राक्षसाधिपम् ।
प्रविवेश ततो लङ्कां रावणो लोकरावणः ॥६-१२९-२८॥

dadṛśurvismitāstatra rāvaṇaṃ rākṣasādhipam |
praviveśa tato laṅkāṃ rāvaṇo lokarāvaṇaḥ ॥6-129-28॥

Translation

"They saw the Lord of Rakshasas, Ravana, there with amazement. Then Ravana, the tormentor of the world, entered Lanka."

हिंदी अनुवाद

'वहां उन्होंने विस्मित होकर राक्षसराज रावण को देखा। तदनन्तर लोकों को रुलाने वाला रावण लंका में प्रविष्ट हुआ।'

English Commentary

Ravana reaches his capital. The epithet 'Lokaravana' reminds us of the terror he represents.

रावण लंका पहुंचा। 'लोकरावण' विशेषण उसके क्रूर स्वभाव को दर्शाता है।
