Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवमेतत् पुरावृत्तमाख्यानं भद्रमस्तु वः ।
प्रव्याहरत विस्रब्धं बलं विष्णोः प्रवर्धताम् ॥६-१३१-१२२॥
evamētat purāvṛttamākhyānaṃ bhadramastu vaḥ |
pravyāharata visrabdhaṃ balaṃ viṣṇōḥ pravardhatām ॥6-131-122॥
Translation
Such is this ancient narrative; may it be well with you. Relate it with confidence; by doing so, the power and influence of Vishnu increase.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यह प्राचीन काल का वृत्तांत ऐसा ही है, आप सबका कल्याण हो। आप विश्वास के साथ इसका वर्णन करें; इससे भगवान विष्णु का बल (प्रभाव) बढ़ता है।
English Commentary
Sage Valmiki concludes the narration with a wish for universal well-being ('Bhadram'). 'May the power of Vishnu increase' is a profound statement—it implies that by disseminating the Ramayana, virtues like righteousness, justice, and truth (attributes of Vishnu) spread through society. It entrusts the listeners with the responsibility of sharing this great epic.

ऋषि वाल्मीकि यहाँ 'कल्याण' (भद्रम्) की मंगल कामना के साथ कथा का उपसंहार कर रहे हैं। 'बलं विष्णोः प्रवर्धताम्' एक अत्यंत गूढ़ वचन है—इसका अर्थ है कि श्री रामायण का प्रचार करने से समाज में सात्विकता, न्याय और सत्य (विष्णु के गुणों) का प्रसार होता है। यह श्रोताओं को इस महान कथा के प्रसार का उत्तरदायित्व सौंपता है।
