पूजिता मामिका माता दत्तं राज्यमिदं मम ।
तद्ददामि पुनस्तुभ्यं यथा त्वमददा मम ॥६-१३१-२॥
pūjitā māmikā mātā dattaṃ rājyamidaṃ mama |
taddadāmi punastubhyaṃ yathā tvamadadā mama ॥6-131-2॥
Translation
My mother has been honored (her wish fulfilled), and this kingdom was given to me. I give that back to you again, just as you gave it to me.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरी माता (कैकेयी) सत्कार की पात्र हो गई हैं (क्योंकि उनका वचन पूरा हुआ) और मुझे यह राज्य दिया गया था। वह राज्य मैं आपको पुनः वैसे ही सौंपता हूँ, जैसे आपने मुझे दिया था।
English Commentary
Bharata formally returns the kingdom to its rightful owner. By stating his mother is 'pujita' (honored/satisfied), he implies that the technicality of the boon has been fulfilled, removing any obstacle for Shri Rama's coronation. The phrase 'just as you gave it to me' underscores that Bharata viewed his role strictly as a custodian or trustee, never as a proprietor. He returns the kingdom intact, fulfilling his vow.

भरत यहाँ औपचारिक रूप से राज्य सत्ता का हस्तांतरण कर रहे हैं। वे स्पष्ट करते हैं कि कैकेयी का वरदान पूरा हो चुका है, इसलिए रघुकुल की सत्यनिष्ठा पर कोई आंच नहीं आएगी। 'यथा त्वमददा मम' (जैसे आपने मुझे दिया था) कहकर भरत यह याद दिलाते हैं कि उन्होंने राज्य को कभी अपना नहीं माना, बल्कि इसे एक धरोहर की तरह संभाला। यह श्लोक न्यास के सिद्धांत का सुंदर उदाहरण है।
