Srimad Valmiki Ramayana - Yuddha Kanda - Sarga 131

अथाब्रवीद्राजपुत्रो भरतं धर्मिणां वरम् ।
अर्थोपहितया वाचा मधुरं रघुनन्दनः ॥६-१३१-४३॥

athābravīdrājaputro bharataṃ dharmiṇāṃ varam |
arthopahitayā vācā madhuraṃ raghunandanaḥ ॥6-131-43॥

Translation

Then, the Prince, the delighter of Raghus (Shri Rama), spoke sweetly and meaningfully to Bharata, the best among the righteous.

हिंदी अनुवाद

इसके बाद राजकुमार रघुनन्दन (श्री राम) ने धर्मियों में श्रेष्ठ भरत से अर्थयुक्त (सारगर्भित) वाणी में मधुरतापूर्वक कहा।

English Commentary

Shri Rama immediately takes charge of the household arrangements. He addresses Bharata sweetly but with specific intent ('artha-upahitaya'). He recognizes Bharata as the executor of his will.

हिंदी टीका

महल में पहुँचते ही श्री राम ने पहला आदेश दिया। वे भरत से बात करते हैं, जो 'धर्मिणां वरम्' (धर्मियों में श्रेष्ठ) हैं। श्री राम की वाणी 'अर्थोपहितया' (अर्थपूर्ण/प्रयोजन वाली) है। वे व्यवस्था बनाना शुरू कर रहे हैं।
