शुभं पुनर्हेमसमानवर्णमीषद्रजोध्वस्तमिवामलाक्ष्याः ।
वासः स्थितायाः शिखराग्रदत्याः किंचित् परिस्रंसत चारुगात्र्याः ।

Śubhaṃ punarhemasamānavarṇamīṣadrajodhvastamivāmalākṣyāḥ । Vāsaḥ sthitāyāḥ śikharāgradatyāḥ kiṃcit parisraṃsata cārugātryāḥ । । ॥5-29-4॥
Translation
Furthermore, the golden-hued garment of that pure-eyed lady, whose teeth resembled pomegranate seeds and whose limbs were lovely, slipped slightly as she stood. Though somewhat soiled with dust, the garment was still auspicious.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अनार के दाने जैसी दांतों वाली और सुंदर अंगों वाली उन निर्मल नयना सीता जी का वह शुभ पीतांबर (वस्त्र), जो सोने के समान रंग वाला था और कुछ मैला सा हो गया था, खड़े होने पर थोड़ा खिसक गया।
English Commentary
The slipping of the garment is interpreted as another omen indicating that the "covering" of sorrow is about to fall away. The poet uses contrasting imagery: the garment is golden (royal, auspicious) yet dust-covered (neglected, sorrowful). This reflects Sita's soul—pure and golden, yet currently obscured by the dust of her circumstances. The detailed description of her physical attributes (teeth like pomegranate seeds, pure eyes) serves to humanize her and remind the audience of her delicate beauty amidst the harsh environment of the Ashoka Vana.

वस्त्र का खिसकना भी एक शकुन माना गया है। यहाँ सीता जी के सौंदर्य और उनकी वर्तमान स्थिति का विरोधाभास है। उनके वस्त्र 'हेमसमानवर्ण' (स्वर्ण वर्ण) हैं, किन्तु 'रजोध्वस्त' (धूल से सने) हैं। 'शिखराग्रदत्याः' (अनार के बीजों जैसे दाँत) और 'चारुगात्र्याः' (सुंदर अंग) जैसे विशेषण यह याद दिलाते हैं कि शोक ने उनके नैसर्गिक सौंदर्य को ढक तो दिया है, पर नष्ट नहीं किया है। वस्त्र का खिसकना यह संकेत देता है कि अब उनके बंधन ढीले होने वाले हैं और वियोग की कठिन घड़ी समाप्त होने को है।
