जानीहि कच्चित् कुशली जनो नृपतिमन्दिरे ।
शृङ्गवेरपुरं प्राप्य गुहं गहनगोचरम् ॥६-१२८-२॥
jānīhi kaccit kuśalī jano nṛpatimandire |
śṛṅgaverapuraṃ prāpya guhaṃ gahanagocaram ॥6-128-2॥
Translation
Find out if the people in the royal palace are well. (First) having reached Shringaverapura, meet Guha who moves in the deep forests.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पता लगाओ कि राजमहल में सभी लोग सकुशल तो हैं? (सबसे पहले) श्रृंगवेरपुर जाकर निषादराज गुह से मिलो जो वन में रहते हैं।
English Commentary
Shri Rama instructs Hanuman to first visit Guha at Shringaverapura. Guha, the chieftain of the Nishadas, controls the borders and would have the most current intelligence regarding Ayodhya. Asking about the welfare of the royal household ('nripatimandire') shows Shri Rama's concern for his family. This detour to Guha also underscores Shri Rama's loyalty to his friends; he ensures his first ally in the forest is informed of his return immediately.

श्री राम हनुमान जी को सर्वप्रथम निषादराज गुह के पास जाने का निर्देश देते हैं। गुह श्री राम के अनन्य मित्र और अयोध्या की सीमाओं के रक्षक हैं। उनसे मिलने का उद्देश्य न केवल कुशलक्षेम पूछना है, बल्कि अयोध्या की वर्तमान स्थिति की सटीक जानकारी प्राप्त करना भी है। श्री राम का यह निर्देश उनके कृतज्ञ स्वभाव को भी दर्शाता है कि वे वनवास के प्रथम मित्र को भूले नहीं हैं।
