Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
यथा च कारितः सेतू रावणश्च यथा हतः ।
वरदानं महेन्द्रेण ब्रह्मणा वरुणेन च ॥६-१२८-९॥
yathā ca kāritaḥ setū rāvaṇaśca yathā hataḥ |
varadānaṃ mahendreṇa brahmaṇā varuṇena ca ॥6-128-9॥
Translation
Tell him how the bridge was built and how Ravana was killed. Also inform him about the boons granted by Mahendra, Brahma, and Varuna.

जैसे सेतु बनवाया गया और जैसे रावण मारा गया, यह सब बताना। महेन्द्र, ब्रह्मा और वरुण द्वारा दिए गए वरदानों के विषय में भी बताना।
English Commentary
The climax of the narrative is the construction of the bridge ('setu') and the slaying of Ravana. Shri Rama also includes the divine validation he received from the Trinity and other gods. Mentioning the boons serves to legitimize his victory and return, proving that his actions were favored by the cosmic powers.

युद्ध का समापन और देवताओं का आशीर्वाद—यह संदेश का अंतिम भाग है। रावण वध की सूचना भरत के लिए सबसे बड़ी राहत होगी। देवताओं (इन्द्र, ब्रह्मा, वरुण) द्वारा वरदान देने की बात का उल्लेख यह सिद्ध करने के लिए है कि श्री राम का कार्य धर्मसम्मत था और उन्हें दैवीय स्वीकृति प्राप्त है। यह भरत के मन में श्री राम के प्रति श्रद्धा को और दृढ़ करेगा।
