YUDDHA KANDA•SARGA: 131•SHLOKA: 40
विभीषणस्य संयोगमाचचक्षे च मन्त्रिणाम् ।
श्रुत्वा तु विस्मयं जग्मुरयोध्यापुरवासिनः ॥६-१३१-४०॥
vibhīṣaṇasya saṃyogamācacakṣe ca mantriṇām |
śrutvā tu vismayaṃ jagmurayodhyāpuravāsinaḥ ॥6-131-40॥
Translation
He also narrated the alliance with Vibhishana to the ministers. Hearing this, the residents of Ayodhya were filled with amazement.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तथा विभीषण के साथ मिलन की कथा भी उन्होंने मंत्रियों को सुनाई। यह सुनकर अयोध्यापुरी के निवासी विस्मय (आश्चर्य) को प्राप्त हुए।
English Commentary
Shri Rama explains the alliance with Vibhishana. The citizens are amazed ('vismayam') to learn about the complexities of the war and how a Rakshasa became a key ally. These stories bridge the gap between the 14 years of absence.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम ने बताया कि कैसे शत्रु का भाई विभीषण उनका मित्र बना। अयोध्यावासी यह सुनकर चकित ('विस्मय') रह गए। वानरों और राक्षसों के साथ श्री राम की मित्रता की कहानियां उनके लिए किसी चमत्कार से कम नहीं थीं।
