भवत्वविधवा भूमि: समग्रा पतिना त्वया ।
शशिना विमलेनेव शारदी रजनी यथा ॥ ॥२-१०४-११॥
Bhavatvavidhavā bhūmi: samagrā patinā tvayā । Śaśinā vimaleneva śāradī rajanī yathā ॥ ॥2-104-11॥
Translation
"Let the entire earth become 'not widowed' (having a protector) with you as her husband (Lord), just as the autumn night shines with the clear moon."

"जैसे निर्मल चंद्रमा से शरद ऋतु की रात्रि सुशोभित होती है, वैसे ही आप रूपी पति को पाकर यह समस्त पृथ्वी 'अविधवा' (सधवा) हो जाए।"
English Commentary
Bharata concludes this section with a poetic masterpiece. He uses the political metaphor of the King as the 'Pati' (Husband) of the Earth ('Bhūmi'). Without Rama, the Earth is currently a widow—unprotected and desolate. He begs Rama to make her 'avidhavā' (non-widowed) again. The simile of the 'autumn night' ('śāradī rajanī') and the 'clear moon' ('vimale śaśinā') suggests that Rama’s rule brings clarity, beauty, and cooling relief after the heat of sorrow. It frames the coronation not as a political act, but as a cosmic necessity to restore balance and beauty to the world.

भरत एक अत्यंत सुंदर रूपक के साथ अपनी बात समाप्त करते हैं। राजा को पृथ्वी का 'पति' (भूपति) माना जाता है। राजा के बिना पृथ्वी 'विधवा' के समान है (असुरक्षित और श्रीहीन)। भरत प्रार्थना करते हैं कि राम उसे 'अविधवा' करें। 'शारदी रजनी' (शरद पूर्णिमा की रात) और 'विमलेन शशिना' (निर्मल चाँद) की उपमा राम के शासन की शांति, शीतलता और प्रकाश को दर्शाती है। दशरथ की मृत्यु से जो अंधकार छाया है, उसे केवल राम रूपी चंद्र ही दूर कर सकते हैं। यह श्लोक 'रामराज्य' की परिकल्पना को ध्वनित करता है।
