AYODHYA KANDA•SARGA: 3•SHLOKA: 13
अस्तःपुरस्य द्वाराणि सर्वस्य नगरस्य च ।
चन्दनस्रग्भिरर्च्यन्तां धूपैश्च घ्राणहारिभिः ॥२-३-१३॥
astaḥpurasya dvārāṇi sarvasya nagarasya ca |
candanasragbhir arcyantāṁ dhūpaiśca ghrāṇahāribhiḥ ॥2-3-13॥
Translation
Let the gates of the fortress (of the Rakshasas) and all the gates of the city be adorned with garlands of sandalwood and made fragrant with incense.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अस्तःपुर (यानी राक्षसों का महल) के द्वार और समस्त नगर के द्वारों को चंदन की पुष्पमाला और धूप से सुगंधित किया जाए।
English Commentary
In this verse, Maharishi Valmiki notes that the gates of the city of the Rakshasas should be adorned with sandalwood and made fragrant with incense to enhance the sanctity of the city.
हिंदी टीका
महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी इस श्लोक में कहते हैं कि राक्षसों के नगर के द्वारों को चंदन और धूप से सुगंधित किया जाए ताकि नगर की दिव्यता और भी बढ़ जाए।
