शत्रुघ्नोत्तिष्ठ किं शेषे निषादाधिपतिं गुहम् ।
शीघ्रमानय भद्रं ते तारयिष्यति वाहिनीम् ।

śatrughnottiṣṭha kiṃ śeṣe niṣādādhipatiṃ guham |
śīghramānaya bhadraṃ te tārayiṣyati vāhinīm ॥2-89-2॥
Translation
O Shatrughna, arise! Why do you sleep? Bring Guha, the Lord of Nishadas, here quickly. May prosperity attend you. He will ferry the army across.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुघ्न! उठो, क्यों सो रहे हो? निषादराज गुह को शीघ्र ले आओ। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। वे सेना को गंगा पार करा देंगे।
English Commentary
This verse captures Bharata's urgency and sense of duty. Despite his overwhelming grief, he remains cognizant of the logistical challenge of moving the army across the Ganga. The phrase "kim sheshe" (why do you sleep) is not an accusation of sloth against Shatrughna, but a reflection of Bharata's own restlessness and impatience to reach Rama. By adding "bhadram te" (may good betide you), Bharata maintains the affectionate decorum of an elder brother. It highlights the reliance on Guha's local authority and maritime resources to transport the massive retinue.

भरत जी का यह कथन उनके कर्तव्यबोध और भ्रातृप्रेम का मिश्रण है। यद्यपि वे स्वयं शोक में हैं, किन्तु सेना के संचालन और गंगा पार करने की व्यवस्था को लेकर वे सजग हैं। 'किं शेषे' (क्यों सो रहे हो) का अर्थ यह नहीं है कि शत्रुघ्न आलसी हैं, बल्कि यह भरत की अधीरता को दर्शाता है जो शीघ्र श्री राम के पास पहुँचना चाहते हैं। 'भद्रं ते' (तुम्हारा कल्याण हो) कहकर वे अपने छोटे भाई को स्नेह-आशीर्वाद देते हैं, जो रघुकुल की शिष्टाचार परम्परा के अनुकूल है। यहाँ गुह पर पूर्ण विश्वास व्यक्त किया गया है कि केवल वही इस विशाल सेना को नदी पार कराने में सक्षम हैं।
