अद्य राममितः क्षिप्रं वनं प्रस्थापयाम्यहम् ।
यौवराज्ये च भरतं क्षिप्रमेवाभिषेचये ॥२-९-२॥
adya rāmamitaḥ kṣipraṃ vanaṃ prasthāpayāmyaham । yauvarājye ca bharataṃ kṣipramevābhiṣecaye ॥2-9-2॥
Translation
Today itself, I shall quickly send Rama away from here to the forest, and I shall quickly have Bharata consecrated as the Crown Prince.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं आज ही राम को यहाँ से शीघ्र वन भेजती हूँ और भरत का शीघ्र ही युवराज पद पर अभिषेक करवाती हूँ।
English Commentary
This verse signifies the complete success of Manthara's manipulation. Kaikeyi, who once loved Rama more than her own son, now speaks with a steely resolve to banish him. The emphatic use of the first person aham ('I') indicates she has taken full ownership of this cruel plan. The repetition of the word kshipram (quickly) twice in a single verse highlights her desperate urgency and anxiety; she believes that any delay poses a threat to Bharata's future. She is no longer looking for reasons to support Rama but is solely focused on the logistical execution of his exile and Bharata's immediate coronation.

यह श्लोक कैकेयी के पूर्ण मतिभ्रम और मंथरा के षड्यंत्र की सफलता को दर्शाता है। जो कैकेयी राम से अपने पुत्र भरत से भी अधिक प्रेम करती थीं, वह अब 'अहम्' (मैं) के भाव के साथ स्वयं राम के निर्वासन की योजना बना रही हैं। यहाँ दो बार 'क्षिप्रं' (शीघ्र) शब्द का प्रयोग कैकेयी की अधीरता और उतावलेपन को प्रकट करता है। उन्हें भय है कि यदि विलंब हुआ तो राम का राज्याभिषेक हो जाएगा, इसलिए वह तत्काल कार्रवाई करना चाहती हैं। यह उनकी ममता पर राजनीतिक महत्त्वाकांक्षा और असुरक्षा की विजय है। अब वह मंथरा से उपाय पूछने के लिए तैयार हैं कि इस संकल्प को कैसे पूरा किया जाए।
