ततस्तथेत्येवमुदारदर्शन: प्रतीतरूपो भरतो ऽब्रवीद्वच: ।
चकार बुद्धिं च तदा तदाश्रमे निशानिवासाय नराधिपात्मज: ॥२-९०-२४॥
tatastathetyevamudāradarśanaḥ pratītarūpo bharato 'bravīdvacaḥ |
cakāra buddhiṃ ca tadā tadāśrame niśānivāsāya narādhipātmajaḥ ॥2-90-24॥
Translation
Then, the noble-looking and delighted Bharata accepted the words saying "So be it" (Tatha), and the prince (son of the King) resolved to stay the night in that hermitage.

तब, उदार दर्शन वाले (सौम्य) और प्रसन्न चित्त (प्रतीतरूपो) राजकुमार भरत ने "तथा" (ठीक है) कहकर वह वचन स्वीकार किया और उस समय उस आश्रम में रात्रि-निवास का विचार (निश्चय) किया।
English Commentary
Bharata's demeanor shifts from anxious to relieved (pratītarūpo) upon hearing Rama's location. He accepts the Sage's invitation with the compliant "Tatha." The descriptor narādhipātmajaḥ (son of the King) reinforces his royal duty to accept diplomatic/spiritual hospitality. His decision (cakāra buddhiṃ) to stay is an act of obedience to the Sage rather than a personal desire for rest. This concludes Sarga 90, marking the end of the interrogation and the beginning of the reception.

राम का पता मिल जाने से भरत अब 'प्रतीतरूपो' (प्रसन्न/आश्वस्त) हैं। उनका तनाव कम हो गया है, इसलिए वे 'उदारदर्शन:' (सौम्य दिखने वाले) हो गए हैं। ऋषि की आज्ञा मानकर उन्होंने 'तथेति' (वैसा ही हो) कहा। 'चकार बुद्धिं' (मन बनाया) दर्शाता है कि यद्यपि वे रुकना नहीं चाहते थे (राम से मिलने की शीघ्रता के कारण), परन्तु ऋषि के सम्मान में उन्होंने रुकने का निर्णय लिया। यह सर्ग 90 का समापन है, जहाँ संघर्ष (संदेह) का समाधान हो गया है और अब विश्राम का समय है।
