तं प्रदक्षिणमागम्य भगवन्तं महामुनिम् ।
अदूराद्भरतस्यैव तस्थौ दीनमनास्तदा ॥२-९२-१७॥
Taṃ pradakṣiṇamāgamya bhagavantaṃ mahāmunim । Adūrādbharatasyaiva tasthau dīnamanāstadā ॥2-92-17॥
Translation
Then, having circumambulated the venerable great Sage, she (Kaikeyi), with a miserable mind, stood not far from Bharata.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय उदास मन वाली (कैकेयी) ने उन भगवान महामुनि की परिक्रमा करके, भरत के समीप ही खड़ी हो गई।
English Commentary
This verse describes Kaikeyi's continued act of penitence and protocol. Despite her shame, she adheres to the Vedic etiquette of respecting a sage by performing pradakṣiṇa (circumambulation). The descriptor dīnamanāḥ (miserable-minded) indicates her internal brooding and loss of former arrogance. Standing "not far from Bharata" suggests a subconscious seeking of shelter near her son, despite the strain in their relationship, highlighting her isolation from the other queens.

यह श्लोक कैकेयी की वर्तमान मानसिक स्थिति और व्यवहार को दर्शाता है। यद्यपि पिछले श्लोक में उसे 'लज्जावान' बताया गया था, यहाँ वह ऋषियों के प्रति सम्मान प्रदर्शित करने की वैदिक परंपरा का पालन करते हुए उनकी 'प्रदक्षिणा' (परिक्रमा) करती है। 'दीनमना' (उदास/दैन्य मन वाली) शब्द बताता है कि उसका अहंकार टूट चुका है। वह भरत के पास खड़ी होती है ('अदूराद्भरतस्यैव'), शायद इसलिए कि पुत्र के समीप उसे थोड़ी सुरक्षा या सांत्वना महसूस हो, भले ही पुत्र उससे रुष्ट हो।
