तथा इति च ततः सर्वे मंत्रिणः प्रत्यपूजयन् ।
पार्थिव इन्द्रस्य तत् वाक्यम् यथा आज्ञप्तम् अकुर्वत ॥१-१२-२०॥
Tathā iti ca tataḥ sarve mantriṇaḥ pratyapūjayan |
Pārthiva indrasya tat vākyam yathā ājñaptam akurvata ॥1-12-20॥
Translation
And thereupon, all the ministers duly honored (received with reverence) that command of the Lord of the Earth (King Dasharatha), by saying, 'So be it' (Tathā Iti). And they carried out the task exactly as it had been commanded.

और उसके बाद सभी मंत्रियों ने पृथ्वी के स्वामी (राजा दशरथ) के उस आदेश का सम्मान किया, कहकर, 'तथा इति'। और उन्होंने उस कार्य को ठीक उसी तरह किया जैसा कि आदेशित किया गया था।
English Commentary
This verse describes the immediate and dutiful reaction of King Dasharatha's cabinet (the mantriṇaḥ) to the monumental decision and subsequent instructions regarding the Ashwamedha Yajna. The phrase "Tathā Iti" (So be it) signifies absolute acceptance, obedience, and commitment. It is the formal way of acknowledging an instruction from a king or a revered person, confirming that the command will be executed without question. The ministers not only accepted the command but treated it with respect, honoring it like an act of worship (pūjā). This emphasizes their deep loyalty and deference to their King and the gravity of the task at hand. Calling the King the Lord of the Earth (Pārthiva Indra) underscores his sovereign authority. The King's word is law, and executing it is the highest duty of the ministers.
