Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
गम्यताम् इति तान् आह यथा इष्टम् रघुनन्दनः ।
मानसाः कार्य कालेषु साहाय्यम् मे करिष्यथ ॥१-२८-१४॥
gamyatām iti tān āha yathā iṣṭam raghunandanaḥ । mānasāḥ kārya kāleṣu sāhāyyam me kariṣyatha ॥ ॥1-28-14॥
Translation
Raghunandana (Rama) said to them, "You may go now as you please. When the time for action arises, you shall assist me when summoned by my mind."
हिंदी अनुवाद
रघुनंदन (राम) ने उनसे कहा, "अभी आप अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार जाइये। जब कार्य का समय आएगा, तब मेरे मन से स्मरण करने पर आप मेरी सहायता कीजियेगा।"
English Commentary
Rama’s dismissal of the weapon-deities shows his composure; he does not feel the need to demonstrate his power immediately. The instruction gamyatām (you may go) allows the deities to return to their subtle forms. The key instruction lies in the word mānasāḥ (by the mind/mentally). This defines the mechanism of these celestial weapons; they are summoned via mental concentration and mantra, not carried physically like swords or bows. It establishes a telepathic bond between the warrior and his arsenal, to be utilized only kārya kāleṣu (at the time of duty/action).

श्रीराम का उत्तर उनके संयम और आत्मविश्वास को दर्शाता है। अस्त्रों को प्राप्त करते ही वे उनका अनावश्यक परीक्षण नहीं करते, बल्कि उन्हें 'यथेष्टम्' (इच्छानुसार) जाने की अनुमति देते हैं। यहाँ 'मानसाः' शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। यह सिद्ध करता है कि इन अस्त्रों को चलाने के लिए स्थूल वस्तुओं की आवश्यकता नहीं है; ये मानसिक संकल्प और मंत्र शक्ति से संचालित होते हैं। श्रीराम भविष्य के युद्धों (जैसे ताड़का वध के बाद अब यज्ञ रक्षा और आगे रावण वध) के लिए अपनी तैयारी सुनिश्चित कर रहे हैं।
