Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तौ तु गान्धर्व तत्त्वज्ञौ स्थान मूर्च्छन कोविदौ ।
भ्रातरौ स्वर संपन्नौ गन्धर्वाः इव रूपिणौ ॥१-४-१०॥
tau tu gāndharva tattvajñau sthāna mūrcchan kovidau |
bhrātarau svara saṃpannau gandharvāḥ iva rūpiṇau ॥1-4-10॥
Translation
They are indeed knowledgeable in the essence of the Gandharvas and are skilled in the art of musical ecstasy. As brothers, they are endowed with melodious voices, resembling the Gandharvas in appearance.

वे वास्तव में गान्धर्वों के तत्त्वज्ञ हैं, स्थान पर मूर्छित होने के ज्ञाता हैं। भाई होने के नाते, वे स्वर की संपन्नता के साथ, गान्धर्वों के समान रूप वाले हैं।
English Commentary
In this verse, the description of Kusha and Lava is continued. It highlights that these brothers are accomplished in music, similar to Gandharvas. Their ability to enchant with their melodious voices makes them special, showcasing the qualities inherent in them from Rama. The verse serves to emphasize their resemblance to Gandharvas, not only in appearance but in their musical prowess as well.
