Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवम् उक्ताः सुराः सर्वे प्रति ऊचुः मुनि पुंगवम् ।
एवम् भवतु भद्रम् ते तिष्ठन्तु एतानि सर्वशः ॥१-६०-३०॥
Evam uktāḥ surāḥ sarve prati ūcuḥ muni puṃgavam |
Evam bhavatu bhadram te tiṣṭhantu etāni sarvaśaḥ ॥1-60-30॥
Translation
When spoken to thus, all those gods replied to the chief among sages (Vishwamitra): "So be it! May all be well with you! Let all these (constellations) remain in their places."
हिंदी अनुवाद
विश्वामित्र द्वारा इस प्रकार कहे जाने पर, उन सभी देवताओं ने मुनियों में श्रेष्ठ (विश्वामित्र) से उत्तर दिया, "ऐसा ही हो, तुम्हारा कल्याण हो, ये सभी (नक्षत्र) अपनी जगह पर स्थित रहें।"
English Commentary
This verse confirms the agreement reached between the gods and Vishwamitra. After Vishwamitra reiterated his demands (Trishanku's physical ascension and the permanence of the new stars), the gods collectively accepted his terms. 'Evam bhavatu' (So be it) signifies their full approval, while 'bhadram te' (May all be well with you) expresses their respect and the relief that arose from the fulfillment of the sage's will. This commitment permanently established a new, parallel order within the cosmos, marking the final triumph of Vishwamitra's ascetic power.

यह श्लोक देवताओं और विश्वामित्र के बीच हुए समझौते की पुष्टि करता है। पिछले श्लोकों में विश्वामित्र ने अपनी शर्तों (त्रिशंकु का सशरीर स्वर्ग और नए नक्षत्रों की स्थायित्व) को दोहराया था। अब देवताओं ने सामूहिक रूप से उनकी शर्तों को स्वीकार किया। 'एवम् भवतु' (ऐसा ही हो) उनकी पूर्ण स्वीकृति को दर्शाता है, जबकि 'भद्रम् ते' (तुम्हारा कल्याण हो) का प्रयोग उनके सम्मान और इच्छा की पूर्ति से उपजी राहत को व्यक्त करता है। यह वचन ब्रह्मांडीय व्यवस्था में एक नई, समानांतर व्यवस्था को स्थायी रूप से स्थापित करता है, जो विश्वामित्र की तपस्या की शक्ति की अंतिम जीत थी।
