तत् इदम् घोर संकाशम् जामदग्न्यम् महत् धनुः ।
पूरयस्व शरेण एव स्व बलम् दर्शायस्व च ॥ ॥१-७५-३॥
tat idam ghora saṃkāśam jāmadagnyam mahat dhanuḥ । pūrayasva śareṇa eva sva balam darśayasva ca ॥ ॥1-75-3॥
Translation
This is the great and fierce-looking bow of Jamadagni's son. String it with an arrow and demonstrate your strength.

यह भयंकर प्रतीत होने वाला जमदग्नि-नन्दन (परशुराम) का महान धनुष है। इस पर बाण चढ़ाओ और अपना बल दिखाओ।
English Commentary
In this verse, Parashurama issues a direct and aggressive challenge. He describes his bow as 'ghora samkasham' (fierce in appearance), emphasizing that this is no ceremonial weapon but an instrument of destruction. By asking Rama to 'show his strength,' Parashurama is essentially questioning the validity of Rama's previous feat of breaking Shiva's bow. He demands immediate proof of valor. This moment sets the stage for a confrontation between the two avatars, where the elder (Parashurama) tests the younger (Rama) to see if he is truly capable of upholding the dharma of the age.
