यत्त्वया विपुलं प्राप्तं जनस्थानवधादिकम् ।
ब्राह्मणार्थे नियुक्तस्य रक्षितुः सर्वतापसान् ॥६-१२७-१०॥
yattvayā vipulaṃ prāptaṃ janasthānavadhādikam |
brāhmaṇārthe niyuktasya rakṣituḥ sarvatāpasān ॥6-127-10॥
Translation
The great tasks You performed, such as the slaughter of Rakshasas in Janasthana, while being dedicated to the cause of Brahmanas and protecting all the ascetics—

ब्राह्मणों के हित के लिए और सभी तपस्वियों की रक्षा में लगे हुए तुम्हारे द्वारा जो जनस्थान में राक्षसों का वध आदि महान कार्य किए गए—
English Commentary
The sage clarifies the divine purpose of Shri Rama's incarnation. The elimination of Rakshasas was not merely an act of war but a service for 'Brahmanarthe'—the protection of the culture of sages and spirituality. The victory at Janasthana was the first major milestone in this mission.

मुनि यहाँ श्री राम के अवतार-प्रयोजन को स्पष्ट कर रहे हैं। राक्षसों का वध केवल एक युद्ध नहीं था, बल्कि वह 'ब्राह्मणार्थे' (ऋषि-संस्कृति की रक्षा के लिए) किया गया एक यज्ञ था। जनस्थान की विजय इस दिशा में पहला बड़ा कदम थी।
