गोमतीं तां च सोऽपश्यद्भीमं सालवनं तथा ।
प्रजाश्च बहुसाहस्राः स्फीताञ्जनपदानपि ॥६-१२८-२५॥
gomatīṃ tāṃ ca so'paśyadbhīmaṃ sālavanaṃ tathā |
prajāśca bahusāhasrāḥ sphītāñjanapadānapi ॥6-128-25॥
Translation
He saw the Gomati river and the dense Sala forest. Also, thousands of people and prosperous districts.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने गोमती नदी और भयानक सालवन को देखा। तथा हजारों प्रजाओं और समृद्ध जनपदों (गांवों/कस्बों) को भी देखा।
English Commentary
Flying over the Gomati, Hanuman observes the landscape below. He sees 'sphitan janapadan' (prosperous districts) and thousands of people. This observation is crucial: it confirms that under Bharata's regency, the kingdom has flourished, not decayed. The 'bhima' (terrible/dense) Sal forest acts as a natural boundary.

गोमती नदी को पार करते हुए हनुमान जी अयोध्या के निकट के समृद्ध क्षेत्रों ('स्फीतान् जनपदान्') को देखते हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि भरत के शासन में प्रजा सुखी और संपन्न थी, जो भरत की प्रशासनिक कुशलता का प्रमाण है। 'भयानक सालवन' वनों की सघनता को बताता है।
