भविष्यति गुहः प्रीतः स ममात्मसमः सखा ।
अयोध्यायाश्च ते मार्गं प्रवृत्तिं भरतस्य च ॥६-१२८-४॥
bhaviṣyati guhaḥ prītaḥ sa mamātmasamaḥ sakhā |
ayodhyāyāśca te mārgaṃ pravṛttiṃ bharatasya ca ॥6-128-4॥
Translation
...Guha will be pleased, for he is a friend equal to my own self. He will tell you the way to Ayodhya and the news regarding Bharata.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...गुह प्रसन्न होंगे, क्योंकि वे मेरे आत्मसम (प्राणों के समान) मित्र हैं। वे तुम्हें अयोध्या का मार्ग और भरत का समाचार भी बताएंगे।
English Commentary
Shri Rama describes Guha as 'atmasamah sakha' (a friend equal to his own soul). This is a profound statement of equality and love, transcending caste and social hierarchy. Strategically, Guha is the gatekeeper of news. Shri Rama relies on him to brief Hanuman about the route and, more importantly, about Bharata's actions ('pravrittim') during the fourteen years.

श्री राम गुह को 'आत्मसमः सखा' (स्वयं के समान मित्र) कहते हैं, जो सामाजिक समरसता का अद्वितीय उदाहरण है। एक वनवासी राजा को रघुकुल के शिरोमणि द्वारा इतना सम्मान देना यह सिद्ध करता है कि मित्रता में पद या कुल का भेद नहीं होता। श्री राम हनुमान जी को बताते हैं कि गुह ही भरत के मनोभाव और अयोध्या के राजनीतिक वातावरण की सही जानकारी देने के लिए सबसे विश्वसनीय स्रोत हैं।
