यः पठेच्छृणुयाल्लोके नरः पापाद्विमुच्यते ।
पुत्रकामस्तु पुत्रान् वै धनकामो धनानि च ॥६-१३१-१०८॥
yaḥ paṭhecchṛṇuyāl lo k e naraḥ pāpādvimucyate |
putrakāmastu putrān vai dhanakāmo dhanāni ca ॥6-131-108॥
Translation
In this world, any person who reads or hears it is liberated from sins. One desiring a son obtains sons, and one desiring wealth obtains riches.

इस संसार में जो मनुष्य इसे पढ़ता या सुनता है, वह पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है। पुत्र की इच्छा रखने वाला पुत्र प्राप्त करता है और धन की इच्छा रखने वाला धन प्राप्त करता है।
English Commentary
Reading the Ramayana is described as beneficial for both spiritual peace and material attainments. 'Liberation from sin' implies the destruction of mental impurities. When the mind is purified, actions succeed, and desired goals are achieved. This text is a boon for every seeker.
