Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते वर्धयित्वा काकुत्स्थं रामेण प्रतिनन्दिताः ।
अनुजग्मुर्महात्मानं भ्रातृभिः परिवारितम् ॥६-१३१-३५॥
te vardhayitvā kākutsthaṃ rāmeṇa pratinanditāḥ |
anujagmurmahātmānaṃ bhrātṛbhiḥ parivāritam ॥6-131-35॥
Translation
Having hailed Kakutstha (Shri Rama) and being greeted in return by Shri Rama, they followed the great-souled one who was surrounded by his brothers.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने काकुत्स्थ (श्री राम) का अभिनंदन (जयकार) किया और श्री राम द्वारा भी अभिनंदित होकर, भाइयों से घिरे हुए उस महात्मा के पीछे हो लिए।
English Commentary
A reciprocal interaction. The people hail Shri Rama, and he greets them back ('pratinanditah'). This shows Shri Rama's accessibility; he acknowledges his subjects' love. The crowd falls in line behind him, creating a massive river of people flowing into the city.

राजा और प्रजा के बीच का संवाद। लोगों ने जयकार की, और श्री राम ने भी 'प्रतिनन्दिताः' (बदले में उनका अभिनंदन किया)। श्री राम घमंडी नहीं हैं; वे सबका अभिवादन स्वीकार करते हैं। अब पूरी भीड़ भाइयों से घिरे श्री राम के पीछे चलने लगी।
