ततः स प्रयतो वृद्धो वसिष्ठो ब्राह्मणैः सह ।
रामं रत्नमये पीठे सहसीतं न्यवेशयत् ॥६-१३१-५९॥
tataḥ sa prayato vṛddho vasiṣṭho brāhmaṇaiḥ saha |
rāmaṃ ratnamaye pīṭhe sahasītaṃ nyaveśayat ॥6-131-59॥
Translation
Then, the elderly and self-controlled Vasistha, along with other Brahmins, seated Shri Rama along with Sita on a jeweled throne.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस वृद्ध और संयत वसिष्ठ ने ब्राह्मणों के साथ मिलकर, सीता सहित श्री राम को रत्नमय पीठ (सिंहासन) पर बैठाया।
English Commentary
The pivotal moment of the ceremony. Vasistha, the royal preceptor, seats Shri Rama and Sita on the throne. The phrase 'saha-sitam' (along with Sita) is crucial. Shri Rama does not rule alone; his sovereignty is shared with his consort. This joint enthronement highlights the indispensable role of the Queen in Dharma and governance.

राज्याभिषेक का मुख्य क्षण। वसिष्ठ जी श्री राम और सीता को सिंहासन पर बैठाते हैं। 'सहसीतम्'—श्री राम अकेले नहीं, सीता के साथ बैठते हैं। राजा और रानी दोनों का अभिषेक साथ होता है, जो 'सहधर्मचारिणी' के सिद्धांत को पुष्ट करता है।
