ब्रह्मणा निर्मितं पूर्वं किरीटं रत्नशोभितम् ।
अभिषिक्तः पुरा येन मनुस्तं दीप्ततेजसम् ॥६-१३१-६४॥
brahmaṇā nirmitaṃ pūrvaṃ kirīṭaṃ ratnaśobhitam |
abhiṣiktaḥ purā yena manustaṃ dīptatejasam ॥6-131-64॥

English Commentary
The crown ('Kiritam') has a divine lineage. Crafted by Creator Brahma and worn by Manu (the first King of mankind), it symbolizes the continuity of Dharma from the beginning of time. Shri Rama is inheriting the mantle of the original lawgiver.

राजमुकुट का इतिहास। यह साधारण मुकुट नहीं है; इसे स्वयं ब्रह्मा ने बनाया था और इक्ष्वाकु वंश के आदि पुरुष 'मनु' ने इसे पहना था। यह राजसत्ता की प्राचीनता और वैधता (Legitimacy) का प्रतीक है।
