Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अवेक्षमाणा वैदेही प्रददौ वायुसूनवे ।
अवमुच्यात्मनः कण्ठाद्धारं जनकनन्दिनी ॥६-१३१-७९॥
avekṣamāṇā vaidehī pradadau vāyusūnave |
avamucyātmanaḥ kaṇṭhāddhāraṃ janakanandinī ॥6-131-79॥
Translation
Then Sita, the daughter of Janaka, looking around at everyone, took off that necklace from her neck and gave it to Hanuman, the son of the Wind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब जनकनन्दिनी सीता ने सबकी ओर देखते हुए अपने गले से वह हार उतार लिया और उसे पवनपुत्र हनुमान को दे दिया।
English Commentary
This act reveals Sita's wisdom and her maternal affection for Hanuman. She knew that without Hanuman, this celebration would not have been possible. The word 'Avekshamana' (observing) indicates she was seeking Shri Rama's silent approval before presenting this gift. This scene represents the pinnacle of gratitude.

सीता जी का यह कृत्य उनकी बुद्धिमत्ता और हनुमान जी के प्रति उनके मातृवत स्नेह को प्रकट करता है। वे जानती थीं कि यदि हनुमान न होते, तो आज यह उत्सव संभव न होता। 'अवेक्षमाणा' (देखती हुई) शब्द यह सूचित करता है कि वे इस उपहार को देने से पहले श्री राम की मूक अनुमति ले रही थीं। यह दृश्य कृतज्ञता का सर्वोच्च शिखर है।
