Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
राघवेन अभये दत्ते सम्नतो रावण अनुजः ।
विभीषणो महाप्राज्ञो भूमिम् समवलोकयत् ॥६-१८-१॥
atha rāmaḥ prasannātmā śrutvā vāyusutasya ha । pratyabhāṣata durdharṣaḥ śrutavānātmani sthitam ॥6-18-1॥
Translation
Then, Shri Rama, the cheerful-souled, invincible, and learned one, having heard Hanuman's words, spoke what was in his mind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, हनुमान की बात सुनकर प्रसन्नचित्त (प्रसन्नात्मा) और दुर्धर्ष (जिसे दबाया न जा सके) शास्त्रज्ञ (श्रुतवान) श्री राम ने अपने मन की बात (आत्मनि स्थितं) कही।
English Commentary
The verdict begins. Shri Rama is described as 'prasannatma' (clear/cheerful minded) after hearing Hanuman. Being 'shrutavan' (well-versed in scriptures), he appreciates Hanuman's logic. He is now ready to reveal his own 'atmani sthitam' (inner conviction).
हिंदी टीका
अठारहवें सर्ग का आरंभ श्री राम के निर्णय से होता है। हनुमान जी के तर्कों से श्री राम 'प्रसन्न' हैं। वे 'श्रुतवान्' (ज्ञानी) हैं, इसलिए वे हनुमान की मनोवैज्ञानिक अंतर्दृष्टि का सम्मान करते हैं। अब वे सभा में अपना अंतिम निर्णय सुनाने जा रहे हैं।
