कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणं चैव महाकायाः प्रतस्थिरे ।
सर्वौषधीभिर्गन्धैश्च समालभ्य महाबलाः ॥६-६९-१८॥
kṛtvā pradakṣiṇaṃ caiva mahākāyāḥ pratasthire |
sarvauṣadhībhirgandhaiśca samālabhya mahābalāḥ ॥6-69-18॥
Translation
...and having circumambulated him, those huge-bodied warriors departed. Those mighty ones were anointed with all kinds of herbs and scents.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...और उनकी परिक्रमा करके वे विशाल शरीर वाले (योद्धा) प्रस्थान कर गए। उन महाबलियों ने सभी प्रकार की औषधियों और गंधों का लेप किया हुआ था।
English Commentary
'Pradakshina' (circumambulation) is a symbol of respect and loyalty. Anointing with herbs and scents was likely for magical protection or treating potential wounds.
