कुत्र आश्रम पदम् पुण्यम् महर्षेः तस्य धीमतः ।
प्रसाद अर्थम् भगवतः सानुजः सह सीतया ॥ ॥३-११-३२॥
kutra āśrama padam puṇyam maharṣeḥ tasya dhīmataḥ |
prasāda artham bhagavataḥ sānujaḥ saha sītayā ॥3-11-32॥
Translation
"Where is the holy hermitage of that wise great sage? I, along with my younger brother and Sita, wish to go there to seek the grace of that venerable one."

"उन बुद्धिमान महर्षि का वह पवित्र आश्रम कहां है? मैं अपने छोटे भाई और सीता के साथ उन भगवान (अगस्त्य) को प्रसन्न करने (उनका अनुग्रह पाने) के लिए वहां जाना चाहता हूँ।"
English Commentary
Rama's intent is purposeful: he seeks Agastya's 'prasāda' (grace/favor). In the context of the epic, this grace translates to divine weapons and strategic advice. Rama explicitly mentions going with Sita and Lakshmana, indicating a formal visit by the exiles. Asking for the location of the 'punyam' (holy) ashram signifies that approaching Agastya is considered a pilgrimage in itself, a necessary step before the final phase of their forest life.
