तत्र अगस्त्य आश्रम पदम् गत्वा योजनम् अन्तरम् ।
रमणीये वनोद्देशे बहु पादप शोभिते ॥ ॥३-११-४१॥
tatra agastya āśrama padam gatvā yojanam antaram |
ramaṇīye vanoddeśe bahu pādapa śobhite ॥3-11-41॥
Translation
"Going a distance of one yojana from there, you will find Agastya's hermitage in a delightful forest region adorned with many trees."

"वहां (भाई के आश्रम) से एक योजन की दूरी पर जाने पर, अनेक वृक्षों से सुशोभित एक रमणीय वन-प्रदेश में अगस्त्य मुनि का आश्रम है।"
English Commentary
The geographical relationship is clarified: Agastya resides just one yojana (approx. 8-12 km) from his brother. This proximity allows for connection while maintaining solitary spaces for penance. The repetition of descriptors like 'ramaṇīye' (delightful) and 'bahu pādapa' (many trees) reinforces that Agastya's domain, despite his fierce reputation as a demon-slayer, is a sanctuary of nature and peace. The travel plan is now complete: a short hike from the stopover point.

कुल दूरी का गणित अब स्पष्ट है: सुतीक्ष्ण के आश्रम से 4 योजन भाई का आश्रम, और वहाँ से 1 योजन अगस्त्य का आश्रम (कुल 5 योजन)। 'योजनम् अन्तरम्' (एक योजन का अंतर) यह बताता है कि दोनों भाई पास-पास ही रहते हैं, फिर भी अलग अपनी-अपनी तपस्यास्थली बनाए हुए हैं। अगस्त्य का आश्रम भी 'रमणीये' (सुंदर) और वृक्षों से भरा है, जो ऋषि की प्रकृति-प्रेम और रक्षक रूप को दर्शाता है।
