यथा हि इमे वनस्य अस्य ज्ञाताः पथि सहस्रशः ।
संनताः फल भरेण पुष्प भारेण च द्रुमाः ॥ ॥३-११-४८॥
yathā hi ime vanasya asya jñātāḥ pathi sahasraśaḥ । saṃnatāḥ phala bhareṇa puṣpa bhāreṇa ca drumāḥ ॥ ॥3-11-48॥
Translation
Just as it was known (told), thousands of trees along the path in this forest are seen bent down under the weight of their fruits and flowers.

जैसा कि (सुतीक्ष्ण मुनि द्वारा) बताया गया था, इस वन के मार्ग में ये हजारों वृक्ष फलों और फूलों के भार से झुके हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं।
English Commentary
Rama confirms that the physical signs of the forest match the description given to him. The imagery of thousands of trees bent under the weight of fruits and flowers signifies the abundance and spiritual potency of the ashram's vicinity. In Indian literature, nature often flourishes exceptionally in the presence of holy men. The phrase "yatha hi ime... jnatah" (just as these are known/told) shows Rama verifying the landmarks. It paints a picture of a welcoming, resource-rich environment suitable for ascetic life, contrasting with the harshness of the deep wilderness.

श्रीराम यहाँ आश्रम के निकट के परिवेश का वर्णन कर रहे हैं जो सुतीक्ष्ण मुनि के वर्णन से मेल खाता है। वृक्षों का 'फलों और फूलों के भार से झुकना' ('संनताः') उस स्थान की समृद्धि और उर्वरता का प्रतीक है। ऋषि-मुनियों के आश्रमों के आसपास प्रकृति प्रायः अधिक फलदायी और शांत होती है, मानो प्रकृति भी तपस्वियों की सेवा कर रही हो। 'सहस्रशः' (हजारों) शब्द वन की सघनता को दर्शाता है। यह श्लोक यह भी सिद्ध करता है कि श्रीराम एक एकाग्र श्रोता हैं जिन्होंने मार्ग के विवरण को भली-भांति याद रखा था।
