कुतो निष्क्रमितुम् शक्तिर् मया जीर्णस्य रक्षसः ।
भ्रातुः ते मेष रूपस्य गतस्य यम सादनम् ॥ ॥३-११-६४॥
kuto niṣkramitum śaktir mayā jīrṇasya rakṣasaḥ । bhrātuḥ te meṣa rūpasya gatasya yama sādanam ॥ ॥3-11-64॥
Translation
Where is the power in your brother to come out? That demon in the form of a ram has been digested by me and has gone to the abode of Yama (Death).
हिंदी अनुवाद
तुम्हारे भाई में अब बाहर निकलने की शक्ति कहाँ है? उस मेष (भेड़) का रूप धारण करने वाले राक्षस को तो मैंने पचा लिया है और वह यमराज के भवन (मृत्युलोक) को चला गया है।
English Commentary
This is the punchline of the narrative. Agastya rhetorically asks, 'Where is the power to come out?' shattering Ilvala's expectation. The word 'jirnasya' (digested/withered) confirms that the demon has been metabolized by the sage's spiritual fire. By stating Vatapi has gone to 'Yama sadanam' (abode of Death), Agastya delivers the final verdict. This moment illustrates the dominance of spiritual energy (Tejas) over dark magic. It is a definitive end to the terror that had plagued the forest.
