क्व असौ रामो मुनिम् द्रष्टुम् एतु प्रविशतु स्वयम् ।
ततो गत्वा आश्रम पदम् शिष्येण सह लक्ष्मणः ॥ ॥३-१२-१४॥
Kva asau rāmo munim draṣṭum etu praviśatu svayam |
Tato gatvā āśrama padam śiṣyeṇa saha lakṣmaṇaḥ ॥3-12-14॥
Translation
"Where is Rama? Let him come to see the Muni and enter himself." Then, Lakshmana went along with the disciple to the entrance of the hermitage.

(शिष्य ने कहा) "राम कहाँ हैं? वे मुनि के दर्शन के लिए आएं और स्वयं भीतर प्रवेश करें।" तब लक्ष्मण जी शिष्य के साथ आश्रम के द्वार तक गए।
English Commentary
The disciple relays the urgent invitation: "Where is that Rama? Let him come." The use of "Svayam" (himself) implies an invitation to enter freely, without further protocol or barrier. The disciple speaks first to Lakshmana, adhering to the protocol established earlier where Lakshmana acted as the intermediary. Lakshmana then accompanies the disciple to the specific spot where Rama is waiting (referred to as 'Ashrama padam'). This transition marks the shift from waiting outside as a petitioner to entering as an honored guest. The eagerness of the ashram to receive Rama is palpable in the disciple's direct speech.
