Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स प्रविश्य मुनिश्रेष्ठम् तपसा दुष्प्रधर्षणम् ।
कृत अंजलिः उवाच इदम् राम आगमनम् अञ्जसा ॥ ॥३-१२-६॥
Sa praviśya muniśreṣṭham tapasā duṣpradharṣaṇam । Kṛta añjaliḥ uvāca idam rāma āgamanam añjasā ॥ ॥3-12-6॥
Translation
"Entering inside, with folded hands, he accurately conveyed the arrival of Rama to the best of sages, who was unassailable due to his penance."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"उस शिष्य ने प्रवेश करके, तपस्या के कारण जिनके पास फटकना भी कठिन है, उन मुनिश्रेष्ठ के प्रति हाथ जोड़कर (कृतांजलि) राम के आगमन का ठीक-ठीक (अंजसा) वर्णन किया।"
English Commentary
The disciple approaches Agastya with extreme reverence. Agastya is described as Dushpradharshanam—difficult to assault or even approach due to the blazing aura of his penance. The disciple adopts the Anjali mudra (folded hands). The adverb Anjasa (truly/straight/quickly) indicates that the message was relayed accurately and without distortion. This verse highlights the aura of awe surrounding Agastya, even for his own disciples.
हिंदी टीका
यहाँ अगस्त्य के तेज का वर्णन है—'तपसा दुष्प्रधर्षणम्'—अर्थात उनकी तपस्या की आग इतनी तीव्र है कि उनके सामने खड़ा होना भी कठिन है। शिष्य 'कृतांजलि' (हाथ जोड़े हुए) होकर विनयपूर्वक खड़ा होता है। 'अंजसा' का अर्थ है 'यथार्थ' या 'तुरंत'। शिष्य ने बिना किसी विलंब या परिवर्तन के लक्ष्मण का संदेश ज्यों का त्यों मुनि को सुना दिया। यह एक आदर्श संदेशवाहक का गुण है।
