Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तौ तु तेन अभ्यनुज्ञातौ कृत पाद अभिवन्दनौ ।
तम् आश्रमम् पंचवटीम् जग्मतुः सह सीतया ॥ ॥३-१३-२४॥
Tau tu tena abhyanujñātau kṛta pāda abhivandanau । Tam āśramam pañcavaṭīm jagmatuḥ saha sītayā ॥ ॥3-13-24॥
Translation
Having been permitted by him and having bowed down at his feet, those two proceeded towards the Panchavati hermitage along with Sita.

मुनि से आज्ञा पाकर और उनके चरणों में प्रणाम करके, वे दोनों (राम और लक्ष्मण) सीता के साथ पंचवटी आश्रम की ओर चल पड़े।
English Commentary
This verse marks the physical transition from sanctuary to the wild. The term 'abhyanujnatau' emphasizes that they did not just leave, but were 'permitted' to leave, highlighting the protocol of spiritual hierarchy. The phrase 'saha sitaya' (with Sita) is central; the presence of the delicate princess between two warriors defines the dynamic of their journey. As they step out towards Panchavati, they are walking into the trap set by destiny, yet they do so with the blessings of the greatest sage, armed with humility (bowing at feet) and courage.
