ततः पुष्प बलिम् कृत्वा शान्तिम् च स यथाविधि ।
दर्शयामास रामाय तद् आश्रम पदम् कृतम् ॥ ॥३-१५-२५॥
Tataḥ puṣpa balim kṛtvā śāntim ca sa yathāvidhi । Darśayāmāsa rāmāya tad āśrama padam kṛtam ॥ ॥3-15-25॥
Translation
Then, performing the flower offering and the peace-invocation rituals (Shanti) according to the scriptures, he showed the constructed ashram to Rama.

तदनंतर उन्होंने विधिपूर्वक पुष्प-बलि (पुष्प अर्पित करना) और शांति-पाठ (वास्तु-शांति) किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने राम को वह निर्मित आश्रम दिखाया।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the ancient Vedic tradition of 'Vastu Shanti' (sanctifying a new dwelling). Lakshmana did not simply hand over the building; he first spiritualized the space. He performed 'Pushpa balim' (offering of flowers) and 'Shanti' (peace invocation rituals) 'Yathāvidhi' (strictly according to scriptural rules). This proves Lakshmana was well-versed in Dharma and rituals, not just warfare. Only after the space was ritually purified did he present it to Rama. It signifies that for a devotee, offering something to the Lord involves ensuring it is physically ready and spiritually pure.

यह श्लोक प्राचीन भारतीय संस्कृति में 'वास्तु शांति' के महत्व को रेखांकित करता है। लक्ष्मण जानते थे कि किसी भी नए निवास में प्रवेश करने से पहले दैवीय शक्तियों का आह्वान और शांति पाठ आवश्यक है। उन्होंने 'यथाविधि' (शास्त्रोक्त विधि के अनुसार) पुष्प बलि और शांति कर्म किया। यह दर्शाता है कि लक्ष्मण केवल वीर योद्धा या सेवक ही नहीं, बल्कि धर्म और कर्मकांड के भी ज्ञाता थे। पूजा संपन्न करने के बाद ही उन्होंने विनम्रतापूर्वक राम को वह आश्रम दिखाया। यह एक सेवक का अपने स्वामी के प्रति समर्पण है कि वह कार्य को पूर्णता (perfection) और पवित्रता के साथ प्रस्तुत करता है।
