युष्माबिः निर्हतो दृष्ट्वा तौ उभौ भ्रातौ रणे ।
इयम् प्रहृष्टा मुदिता रुधिरम् युधि पास्यति ॥ ॥३-१९-२५॥
Yuṣmābiḥ nirhato dṛṣṭvā tau ubhau bhrātau raṇe । Iyam prahṛṣṭā muditā rudhiram yudhi pāsyati ॥ ॥3-19-25॥
Translation
Seeing those two brothers killed by you in battle, she (Shurpanakha) will be overjoyed and delighted, and she will drink their blood right there on the battlefield.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में तुम लोगों द्वारा उन दोनों भाइयों को मारा गया देखकर, यह (शूर्पणखा) अत्यंत हर्षित और प्रसन्न होकर रणभूमि में ही उनका रक्त पिएगी।
English Commentary
Khara visualizes the outcome to motivate his troops. He describes Shurpanakha’s anticipated reaction as prahrishta mudita (excessively joyous and delighted), linking the soldiers' military success directly to their princess's happiness. The imagery of drinking blood yudhi (in the battle/on the field) underscores the immediacy of the vengeance. It paints a barbaric picture where the battlefield is a dining hall for the victors. This verse serves to finalize the instructions before the departure, leaving the demons with a graphic goal: kill the men to feed the sister.

यह श्लोक शूर्पणखा की विकृत प्रसन्नता ('प्रहृष्टा मुदिता') की कल्पना करता है। खर अपने सैनिकों को प्रेरित कर रहा है कि उनकी सफलता उनकी मालकिन (शूर्पणखा) को कितनी खुशी देगी। 'युधि' (युद्धभूमि में) रक्त पीने का उल्लेख यह बताता है कि बदला तत्काल और सार्वजनिक होगा। यह दृश्य वीभत्स रस से भरा है। खर को लगता है कि मनुष्यों का वध एक आसान कार्य है और असली उद्देश्य केवल शूर्पणखा को प्रसन्न करना है। यह राक्षसों की मानसिकता को दर्शाता है जहाँ हिंसा ही आनंद का स्रोत है।
