चिछिदुः बिभिदुः च एव राम बाणा गुण च्युताः ।
पदातीन् समरे हत्वा हि अनयत् यम सदनम् ॥ ॥३-२५-२४॥
Cichiduḥ bibhiduḥ ca eva rāma bāṇā guṇa cyutāḥ |
Padātīn samare hatvā hi anayat yama sadanam ॥3-25-24॥
Translation
Released from the bowstring, Rama's arrows sliced and pierced. Killing the foot soldiers in battle, he indeed dispatched them to the abode of Yama.

प्रत्यक्षा (गुण) से छूटे हुए राम के बाणों ने (शत्रुओं को) काटा और भेदा। इस प्रकार उन्होंने युद्ध में पैदल सैनिकों (पदात) को मारकर यमराज के घर (यम सदन) पहुँचा दिया।
English Commentary
The verse distinguishes between two types of injury inflicted by the arrows: chichiduh (cutting/slashing) and bibhiduh (piercing/penetrating). This suggests Rama used different arrowheads for different effects. The source is guna chyutah (slipped/fallen from the bowstring), implying immediate and effective action. The ultimate destination for the infantry (padatin) is Yama sadanam (the abode of Death), confirming the lethality of the strike.
