रामेण बाणाभिहतैर्विच्छिन्नैः शूलपट्टिशैः ।
खड्गैः खण्डीकृतैः प्रासैर्विकीर्णैश्च परश्वधैः ॥ ॥३-२५-४५॥
Rāmeṇa bāṇābhihatairvicchinnaiḥ śūlapaṭṭiśaiḥ |
Khaḍgaiḥ khaṇḍīkṛtaiḥ prāsairvikīrṇaiśca paraśvadhaiḥ ॥3-25-45॥
Translation
The earth was littered with tridents and sharp-edged spears broken by Rama's arrows, swords cut to pieces, missiles, and scattered battle-axes.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्रीराम के बाणों की चोट से टूटकर गिरे हुए शूलों और पट्टिशों, टुकड़े-टुकड़े हुए खड्गों (तलवारों), प्रासों और बिखरे हुए फरसों (परशुओं) से पृथ्वी भर गई।
English Commentary
This verse emphasizes Rama's defensive mastery and offensive precision. Before the weapons could reach him, or while they were being wielded, he neutralized them. Cutting a sword (khadga) with an arrow requires incredible speed and accuracy. The listing of various weapons like shula (trident), pattisha (sharp-edged spear), and parashvadha (axe) shows the variety of combat styles Rama faced simultaneously and successfully dismantled. It illustrates the complete neutralization of the enemy's offensive capabilities.

यह श्लोक श्रीराम की धनुर्विद्या की सूक्ष्मता (precision) को उजागर करता है। उन्होंने केवल शत्रुओं के शरीरों को ही नहीं, बल्कि उनके द्वारा चलाए गए या धारण किए गए शस्त्रों को भी अपने बाणों से काट दिया। 'शूल', 'पट्टिश', 'खड्ग', 'प्रास' और 'परश्वध'—ये विभिन्न प्रकार के घातक अस्त्र-शस्त्र हैं। श्रीराम द्वारा तलवारों (खड्गैः) का भी बाणों से खण्डन करना उनकी क्षिप्रहस्तता (तेज़ी) और लक्ष्य-भेदने की अद्भुत क्षमता का परिचायक है। शत्रु के निहत्था होने का चित्रण यहाँ किया गया है।
