तान् दृष्ट्वा निहतान् सर्वे राक्षसाः परमातुराः ।
न तत्र चलितुं शक्ताः रामं परपुरंजयम् ॥ ॥३-२५-४७॥
Tān dṛṣṭvā nihatān sarve rākṣasāḥ paramāturāḥ |
Na tatra calituṃ śaktā rāmaṃ parapurañjayam ॥3-25-47॥
Translation
Seeing those warriors slain, all the remaining demons became extremely distressed. They were unable to even move towards Rama, the conqueror of enemy cities.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन सभी (योद्धाओं) को मारा गया देख, शेष राक्षस अत्यंत व्याकुल हो उठे। वे शत्रु-नगरों को जीतने वाले श्रीराम की ओर बढ़ने में भी समर्थ न हो सके।
English Commentary
This verse shifts from the physical description of the dead to the psychological state of the living. The surviving Rakshasas are paralyzed by fear (paramaturah). The epithet Parapuranjayam (Conqueror of alien/enemy cities) applied to Rama serves as a stark contrast to the paralyzed demons; it establishes his dominance not just as a defender of the hermitage, but as an overwhelming offensive force. Their inability to move signifies the total collapse of their morale before the battle has even concluded.

यहाँ युद्ध का मनोवैज्ञानिक पक्ष (psychological warfare) प्रस्तुत किया गया है। अपने साथियों की ऐसी दुर्दशा देखकर शेष सेना का मनोबल टूट गया। 'परमातुराः' शब्द उनकी घबराहट और भय को दर्शाता है। श्रीराम के लिए 'परपुरंजयम्' (शत्रु के नगरों/दुर्गों को जीतने वाले) विशेषण का प्रयोग यह सिद्ध करता है कि जो अकेले ही किलों को जीत सकते हैं, उनके सामने इन राक्षसों का साहस जवाब दे गया। वे शारीरिक रूप से सक्षम होते हुए भी भय के कारण 'चलितुं न शक्ता' (चलने में असमर्थ) हो गए—जैसे लकवा मार गया हो।
