दूषणस्तु स्वकं सैन्यं हन्यमानं विलोक्य च ।
संदिदेश महाबाहुर्भीमवेगान् निशाचरान् ॥ ॥३-२६-१॥
Dūṣaṇastu svakaṃ sainyaṃ hanyamānaṃ vilokya ca |
Saṃdideśa mahābāhurbhīmavegān niśācarān ॥3-26-1॥
Translation
Observing his own army being slaughtered, the mighty-armed Dushana ordered the demons of terrible speed (to attack).

अपनी सेना को इस प्रकार नष्ट होते देख, महाबाहु दूषण ने भयानक वेग वाले निशाचरों (राक्षसों) को आदेश दिया।
English Commentary
This marks the beginning of Sarga 26 and a shift in the narrative focus to the commander, Dushana. Seeing the rank-and-file decimated, Dushana steps in to reorganize the assault. The use of Mahabahu (mighty-armed) for a Rakshasa acknowledges his martial prowess. He deploys a specialized unit—demons described as Bhimavegan (of terrible speed)—indicating an escalation from mass assault to a more focused, high-speed attack intended to overwhelm Rama.
