ततः तम् भीम धन्वानम् क्रुद्धाः सर्वे निशाचराः ।
रामम् नाना विधैः शस्त्रैः अभ्यवर्षन्त दुर्जयम् ॥ ॥३-२५-७॥
Tataḥ taṃ bhīma dhanvānam kruddhāḥ sarve niśācarāḥ |
Rāmam nānā vidhaiḥ śastraiḥ abhyavarṣanta durjayam ॥3-25-7॥
Translation
Thereafter, all those enraged night-wanderers (Rakshasas) began showering various types of weapons upon the invincible Rama, who wielded a terrifying bow.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, उन सभी क्रोधित निशाचरों (राक्षसों) ने भयानक धनुष धारण करने वाले और अजेय श्री राम पर नाना प्रकार के शस्त्रों की वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी।
English Commentary
This verse sets the stage for a confrontation between mass force and singular might. Rama is described with two significant epithets: Bhimadhanvanam (wielder of a fearful bow) and Durjayam (invincible/unconquerable). The imagery portrays a chaotic, mob-like attack by the Rakshasas, who rain down weapons incessantly. The use of the word abhyavarṣanta (rained down) suggests the sheer volume of projectiles. Despite the overwhelming odds, the description of Rama as invincible hints that while the demons have the numbers, Rama possesses the superior spiritual and martial capability.
