तैः भिन्न वर्म आभरणाः छिन्न भिन्न शर आसनाः ।
निपेतुः शोणित आदिग्धा धरण्याम् रजनीचराः ॥ ॥३-२६-३२॥
Taiḥ bhinna varma ābharaṇāḥ chinna bhinna śara āsanāḥ |
Nipetuḥ śoṇita ādigdhā dharaṇyām rajanīcarāḥ ॥3-26-32॥
Translation
With their armor and ornaments shattered and their bows broken into pieces by those arrows, the night-wandering demons fell upon the earth, smeared with blood.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन बाणों से जिनके कवच और आभूषण टूट गए थे और जिनके धनुष छिन्न-भिन्न हो गए थे, वे निशाचर खून से लथपथ होकर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
This verse paints a graphic picture of the battlefield's aftermath. The imagery focuses on the total dismantling of the demonic army's martial capacity. The phrase bhinna varma (shattered armor) highlights the penetrating power of Rama's weaponry, capable of piercing defenses before reaching the body. The breaking of the bows (śara āsanāḥ) signifies the complete neutralization of the enemy's offensive capability. Falling to the ground "smeared with blood" emphasizes the finality of their defeat. It serves to illustrate that Rama did not merely repel the attack but systematically dismantled the enemy force, stripping them of both dignity (ornaments) and defense (armor).
