रामः क्रोधं परं लेभे वधार्थं सर्वरक्षसाम् ।
ततः क्रोधसमाविष्टः प्रदीप्त इव तेजसा ॥ ॥३-२६-५॥
Rāmaḥ krodhaṃ paraṃ lebhe vadhārthaṃ sarvarakṣasām |
Tataḥ krodhasamāviṣṭaḥ pradīpta iva tejasā ॥3-26-5॥
Translation
Then, to destroy all the demons, Rama summoned his supreme anger. Filled with wrath, he appeared as if blazing with energy.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब समस्त राक्षसों के वध के लिए श्रीराम ने परम क्रोध धारण किया। क्रोध से युक्त होकर वे तेज (ऊर्जा) से प्रदीप्त (जलते हुए) से प्रतीत हुए।
English Commentary
Here occurs the transformation from the stoic defender to the terrifying destroyer. Rama summons param krodham (supreme anger). In the Indian epic tradition, the anger of a righteous man is a cosmic force, manifesting as tejas (fiery energy). He is described as pradipta (blazing/glowing). This righteous fury is functionally assumed vadhattham (for the purpose of killing) the demons, indicating that his anger is a controlled weapon, not an emotional breakdown.

अब 'वीर रस' में 'रौद्र रस' का समावेश होता है। श्रीराम का क्रोध व्यक्तिगत द्वेष नहीं, बल्कि 'रोष' है जो दुष्टों के संहार (वधार्थं) के लिए आवश्यक है। 'प्रदीप्त इव तेजसा'—उनका शरीर क्रोध और तप के तेज से चमकने लगा। यह वही तेज है जो प्रलयकाल की अग्नि में होता है। शांत 'ऋषभ' (बैल) अब 'क्रोधसमाविष्ट' योद्धा में बदल गया है। यह परिवर्तन निर्णायक युद्ध का संकेत है।
